Lucid Launcher is a unique launcher that sets itself apart from the competition. Unlike other launchers, it was built from scratch without relying on any previous launcher designs. Regarding app permissions:
Accessibility Service: This permission is used solely for accessing the Recent Apps Shortcut/Gesture to open the System Recents Screen. No personal data is collected.
Device Administrator: Lucid Launcher requests this permission to set up gestures or shortcuts to lock the screen.
Contacts: When the search contacts option is enabled, this permission allows for searching contacts from the search bar. It is also used for contact shortcuts.
Phone: This permission enables direct dial shortcuts to function within the launcher.
Photos/Media/Files: Permissions in this category are necessary for creating/overwriting backups from advanced settings and saving images from within the built-in browser.
Notification Access: Lucid Launcher uses Notification Access when Unread Count is enabled in order to accurately display the number of new notifications.
Other: Permissions in this category are used exclusively for accessing the internet within the built-in browser, controlling vibration for long-press actions, and expanding/collapsing the status bar for specific gestures/shortcuts.
